Bailee Moore and two other women find themselves abandoned in the wilds of Texas after they are forced off their wagon train. When the women defend themselves against an attacker, they mistakenly belive they have murdered him and quickly turn themselves into the local sheriff for their "crime." The sheriff is perplexed, but proposes that in order to avoid prison time the women instead enter themselves in a "marriage lottery."
