The 2003 Subaru Legacy sedan is like many other sedans on the road, except for one major feature: Subarus renown all-wheel drive system. When you combine the safety and handling of AWD with the modest styling and interior comfort of a four-door sedan, the result is one unique vehicle. But then again, its not that unique. Perhaps it would be so were the Legacy sedan not a Subaru, because it is the manufacturers trademark to offer all-wheel drive across the entire range of its fleet. And that is certainly a good thing.

Hey! Where's My 30 Horsepower?!?

The Bottom Line: Tight, inexpensive sporty sedan with excellent brakes. Car could use more power but the big problem is an excessively touchy and jerky throttle. Leaky moonroof, too.
