Good Quality, Good Enough Sound, but Why no Backup?

Cons: no battery backup, check orientation before installing
The Bottom Line: Want a little sound in your kitchen while you're cooking and washing dishes? This unit will provide, and free up counter space at the same time

Pros: Easy to install with directions, CD player is fine. Good Sony sound.
Cons: Power cord is FM antenna, which has its challenges.
The Bottom Line: If it had a battery back up and dedicated FM antenna, it would be a great machine.

So-so Performance and How To Improve

Pros: Handy, under-counter design. Acceptable sound quality.
Cons: Poor FM reception unless power cord is lengthened.
The Bottom Line: Acceptable product with longer FM antenna.

Review: Living in a rural area, I wasn't expecting great FM reception but out of the box this Sony product with its power cord FM antenna was unacceptable. Disappointing after spending $ 90.

Not finding any information on the antenna, I opened it...
