Pros: Top loading. Easy to use. Portability. Picture quality.
Cons: Supplied software. Supplied battery. Small size. Manual lens cover. Low light recording. No Firewire.
The Bottom Line: If I had the money or the decision ability, I would find better. Works for now.

Versatile, Fun Camera

Pros: Small, light, convenient two-in-one camera with great video.
Cons: Medium quality still photography.
The Bottom Line: I recommend the camera for the average joe/jane, but you might actually find the same quality for a lesser price. The Zeiss lens isn't worth paying an extra hundred.

This is the one I've been waiting for

Pros: Excellent low-light video quality. Good zoom. Good sound. Cheap media (MiniDV tapes)
Cons: Lens cap on a string.
The Bottom Line: This has the one feature all the rest in this price range don't have: Excellent low-light video.
