Pros: Easy to use, nice controls, affordable
Cons: No S-video output, 400 x zoom not usable
The Bottom Line: Good low cost camcorder if it can be obtained for under $200.00.

a decent entry-level Hi-8 Viewcam if you get it cheap enough

Pros: price, digital image stabilization, LCD screen size, remote control, light 110/240V AC adaptor
Cons: no light, no viewfinder, battery life, expensive accessories, mono audio, no external audio connector
The Bottom Line: Decent enough if you can get it cheap but you may want to wait until fully digital video cameras come down in price.

Very Nice Hi-8 Viewcam for the Price

Pros: Lightweight, LCD screen size, Remote Control, Digital Image Stabilization, Features, and PRICE !!
Cons: Mono Audio, Battery Life, Not Digital
The Bottom Line: Excellent value for what you get. If you have a family like me, why not save some of those memories on a value priced camcorder like the Sharp VL-AH151U.
