Pros: Great convenience, easy cleanup.
Cons: Somewhat small capacity, occasionally scorches food.
The Bottom Line: Great for convenient, nourishing meals. If you don't have one, get one!

What a Crock!

Pros: looks nice, good capacity, wise use of counter space
Cons: not big enough for 4 servings
The Bottom Line: This incredibly affordable crock pot is a great appliance to have in your kitchen, though if you need four servings or more you would be better off with larger capacity.

Review: I've had the Rival Stainless Steel Crock Pot since December 2004 when I received it as a gift. I've used it probably thirty times to make beef stew, pot roast, skirt steak and a few other recipes.

Why would anyone want a crock pot?...

Handle with care

Cons: Black plastic handles and knob crumbled into pieces

Review: I just sent my Rival out to the curb because there were no longer any handles to hold it with. It is a fine cooker, but there was something wrong with the black plastic. Both handles simply fell to crumbles, and the handle on the dial also broke...
