A Different Kind of Hero

Pros: A little known period of Pernese history, McCaffrey at her finest
Cons: The occasional trite homily
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for all lovers of Pern, or of dragons in general, McCaffrey builds an outstanding story in the epic Moreta.

Review: Every world needs a hero. Every land needs a legend to encourage people during hard times, to serve as a standard against which we all measure ourselves. Moreta is that standard for Anne McCaffrey's Pern.
