With the exception of its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, every leaf of this cigar is totally controlled from seed to box by Litto Gomez and his wife Inez from their tobacco farm in La Cannella. As the name suggests, it's the Ligero tobacco that gives Double Ligero its fabulous taste. This is Ligero from the crop of 2000 and 2001, picked at the sixth priming, very close to the plant's crown. As the lower primings are removed, the remaining leaves are provided with more of the plant's nutrients, giving them increased flavor.
