This GE Profile™ dishwasher meets 2007 ENERGY STAR® criteria, which can reduce utility bills by using less water to get dishes clean. Equipped with SmartDispense™ technology, it holds an entire bottle of liquid detergent and dispenses just the right amount at the right time. The giant tub with maximum capacity nylon racking holds tall, oversized items and washes 16 place settings at once. The 4 position adjustable upper rack shows this dishwasher's flexibility by moving up, down and diagonally.

Nice upgrade from older recalled unit...

Pros: Countdown timer, Auto detergent dispenser, extra room due to door height.

Cons: Not perfect, quite low lower rack which is a little hard on the back.

The Bottom Line: Does a good job and looks nice.

Review: My old Profile unit was form around 1999. It too had the recall due to Jet Dry dispenser potentially leaking onto wires and potentially causing a fire. $330 for a very nice dishwasher or $150 for a not as good model. I took the $300.
