Pros: Easy set-up, adequate features, decent picture quality -- positive experiences with Samsung's customer service
Cons: Continually breaks - unusable!
The Bottom Line: Appeared on the surface to have some good features, but broke quickly and repeatedly. A lemon or an overall bad product???

Pros: Solid, reliable, compact, a good value, progressive scan output
Cons: Progressive scan can fool you on a regular TV (read review.)
The Bottom Line: The Samsung DVD-V5000 is better built than those "bargain" brands that you'll throw away in a fe months.
