Junk in my opinion

Pros: None.
Cons: I had two machines, neither worked properly. Overheats easily.
The Bottom Line: Spend the extra money for a better brand.

Review: This will be a very short review as my experience with a WORKING Cyberhome 1600 is very limited. I purchased one in May '05 at my neighborhood Best Buy.

I tried to transfer footage from my DV Camcorder, but ran into problems right away...

You get what you pay for!

Pros: Inexpensive, good instruction manual.
Cons: Poorly made, remote would not work properly, entire unit broke after 6 weeks.
The Bottom Line: Overall, I think this was a terrible waste of time and money. I guess you get what you pay for.

A bargain for people with know-how

Pros: Low price, excellent image and sound quality, plenty of connections, very compact, surprising features
Cons: Not intuitive or ergonomic, requires updates to work right, poor instructions, questionable long term quality
The Bottom Line: I cannot recommend this product for anyone. It's too frustrating and troublesome. The Citizen C801DVR is the same price, offers the same features, but is clearly a superior product.
