Product Description

 
The 1998 Monte Carlo is available in two models - Monte Carlo LS (Base) and Z34. The Monte Carlo body style remains the same as 1997, except for new exterior metallic colors - Medium Regal Blue, Navy Blue, Light Driftwood and Light Pewter. A new dealer installed option is the OnStar System, which uses satellite technology to offer 24 hour support, route guidance, remote door unlocking and stolen vehicle tracking. Also new is a 3800 series 200 hp V6 engine, only on the Z34. Safety equipment has been revised to include 4-wheel anti-lock brakes. New machine-faced aluminum wheels and interior temperature controls are available with the Z34. Additional engineering features include an axle ratio revised to 3.29 on both Monte Carlo models.
