Canon ZR100 an average entry level Mini DV Cam

Pros: Excellent zoom, 2.5" color LCD rotates 180%, very light, fairly user friendly.
Cons: Video quality is mediocre, especially in lower lighting conditions.
The Bottom Line: If you don't mind the low quality video it's a great starter to get your feet wet.

Good DV camcorder for the price

Pros: 20X optical zoom, Wide screen, Image stabilizer, Color Viewfinder, Price.
Cons: Low light issues. No S-Video out. Can't be used as a web cam.
The Bottom Line: Good camera for those on a budget. It won't do everything, but does enough and does it well enough to be worth the investment.

Pros: Light, 2.5 in. LCD, Image Stabilizer, and Good Optical Zoom.
Cons: Battery Life, some Low Light conditions.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this item to those who don't need Hollywood like images, but just need a functional camcorder.
