I first came across Things Remembered® back in the early 90’s. My sister had bought me a door ornament for my new home. I had to take it in to get it engraved and discovered that this store was a whole new concept in gifts and I fell in love immediately.

When I found Things Remembered® online I was ecstatic. The site itself is very appealing when you first sign on. It has a light green background with white highlights. The load time is very quick. I have not had any problems at all.

There is a search box where you can type in most any keyword and if that item is available the site will take you to it right away. You can find most anything from Ink Pens, to clocks, to mugs, to plates, to blankets, to baby items, to wedding gifts, to key chains, to money clips, to crystal and glass items, to silver and silver plated, to music boxes, to photo albums, to flask, to trinket boxes, sports items, home items, office items, and the list is endless.

There is always a sale of some kind going on. There are gifts that can cost as little as $10.00 up to a $100.00. Depending on what you want to spend. Sometimes you can get a clearance item for less than $10.00.

Shipping and Handling

Yes there is that. But it’s not really that bad. For example: order something up to $25.00, standard shipping would be $4.00, second day air $10.00 or next day air $16.00. If you spend $25.01 to $75.00 standard shipping would be $6.25, second day air $12.25 or next day air $16.00. Order something that cost $75.01 to $150.00 standard shipping $9.50, second day air $15.50, next day air $21.50. Then there is the $150.01 to $250.00 standard shipping $12.00, second day air $18.00, next day air $24.00, and lastly $250.00 and up standard shipping $15.00, second day air $21.00 or next day air $27.00.

Standard Delivery: You will receive your order within 5 business days from the day it is shipped.
Second Day Air: You will receive your order within 2 business days from the day it is shipped. Please add $6.00 to the standard delivery charge.

Next Day Air: You will receive your order within 1 business day from the day it is shipped. Please add $12.00 to the standard delivery charge.

I would order in time for the holidays or that special occasion though to get the cheaper standard shipping. I use this shipping most! I really hate it when I screw up and have to pay more. Also, I go into my local Things Remembered® store and see if the same items are available there before I pay a higher shipping and handling. The gas is cheaper to go to the mall.

Other Information

You can call the customer service number if you cannot find an item you are looking for online. They will help you to find it. There is also a store locator available to find the nearest store near you. They do except purchase orders as well, and they except all major credit cards. (Or you can use your checking account like me, which is my check card visa.) Outside of the US orders are also available via telephone only. There is also a discount offered on large amounts of money spent.

How I feel

I love this site. Things Remembered® has all my needs for various gifts. And sometimes when I can’t think of anything to buy, I will go to Things Remembered® and look around. I usually can find a gift of some kind. An thus far I have had no problems with Things Remembered®

Once I got a music box that had a small scratch on it retailed for $90.00 and I got it for my grandmother’s 90th birthday for $30.00. We had a small heart shaped metal plate put on the bottom for free, and I signed our names in my own handwriting. When she passed away I got the music box. I listen to it often. I must also say, that the box is black and the scratch was on the black part, we took a permanent black marker and marked over the scratch. To this day you can see the scratch. So sometimes, there is a bargain out there!
