I ordered a panasonic vdr d210 camcorder on sears on 23 Nov 2007 (black friday sale). On 25 i recieved an email confirming my order for the camcorder and they charge 212$ from my credit card .On 26 I recieved an email that my order has been cancelled because the item is out of stock but the website showed avaliability for 349$ .I called repeatedly but to no availe..... very bad site and customer service... do not ever shop from sears.... still waiting for my refunds

Purchased the Hitachi 42 inch plasma at Sears.com for $700 and was super excited to get such a good deal. A week goes by and I now get an e-mail stating they are cancelling my order because they are out of stock. How can they take an order and charge the credit card, then decide they are now out of stock. I called customer service and asked what they were going to do about it. I was put on hold and then promptly told that they only thing they can offer me is an apology. I asked for a comparable tv at the same price, was told No and again told the only thing they can offer me is an apology. I asked to speak to the manager, was told that her manager is not taking calls, so I asked to speak to any manager and was told that no managers were taking calls. SEARS does not care about their customers and are willing to do NOTHING to keep us. I will NEVER buy another thing from SEARS!

OH MY GAWD!!!! NEVER ORDER AN ITEM ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND. My washer broke on Sunday. It was a 15 year old Kenmore 90 SERIES!! We decided to trade up to a HE2t. Sears said it will be delivered 11/28/2007 and that we would receive a confirmation e-mail in about 2-3 business HOURS. Well tuesday came (2 business DAYS not HOURS) and I still had not received my confirmation. after 3 HOURS on the phone (1/2 of that time was on hold while i was listening to CHRISTMAS MUSIC)!! I was told that the system was backed up and I would get it when I would get it. Then while I was on hold because they charged me TWICE!! I got the e-mail. I then asked about delivery and the man said that it was all up to chance when I will get the washer. I really need the washer, my laundry is almost half-way up the 36" picture that is 36" off the ground! AND I KNEW SOMETHING WOULD GO WRONG BECAUSE THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST TIME ORDERING OFF THEIR WEBSITE!!!

Sears customer service is as poor as the blower/vac I bought. First season the carb needed a rebuild, the second season the ignition module died and now....who knows...and really I don't care. Called Sears and got the run around and a 10% discount on my next blower....Done with Sears...hand tools Matco or Snapon...Sears is out of touch with its customers. The resources customers have at their finger tips today could very well put this "crapsman" company out of business tomorrow.

After successfully placing an order for a Sony KDL-40W3000 TV for $1400 I have just been told by the great customer service at Sears that they have to cancel my order because it's not in the inventory and "they do not know why sears.com took the order" This TV was on sale at many other merchants during that time period but I chose sears.com. What a fool I was....this TV is now $2000 everywhere.
Cannot they learn how to manage live inventories between their website and their retails stores ? Well...they just lost a customer forever. On the scale of 1 to 5 ( 5 being excellent ) I give sears.com just 1. |

I like craftsman hand tools, but I will never order anything from them online again. They are apparently unable to fill orders correctly. On my two recent orders they omitted two items (one of which was a large, expensive, heavy tool set). How the big heavy item could be omitted indicates a complete lack of quality control in their shipping (how could they not notice that the box that is supposed to contain 45lbs is only about 10lbs?). I also received a bottle of carpet cleaner instead of an item I ordered. But to top it all off, their customer service is non-existent. They always claim their computer system is down, phone lines are busy. It has been two weeks and still not a hint of the problems being resolved. There were 3 other problems on this order (poor packaging, fraudulent charges, incorrect order status), but by now you're tired of my griping.

"Easy to Read tools" - NOT.
The photos on Sears Craftsman sockets show a high contrast number that is easy to read ON the web page. In person the numbers are light silver/bronze on chrome sockets that are as hard to read or worse that the old "stamped on" number sockets. I was very disappointed. Craftsman tools are still great tools, but the supposed Easy to Read is a sad gimmick. |

I like Sears, the first time I ever bought appliances I bought Kenmore from Sears, and all these years I've stick to them, and to be honest, I love them! BUT if you want to get Kenmore appliances, go to Sears Store, don't ever buy them from Sears.com!

I looked around for a long while checking prices and quality on portable AC during the Spring time. I finally found a Royal Sovereign AC at Sears and though that while I didn't know this brand, considering the price, $499.00 I assumed that it should be a decent deal.
WRONG! I was disappointed to say the least. The AC gave me problems. When I wrote to Sears and explain the problems with the AC, I WAS GLAD to find out that Sears is still the Company to buy from. Although they didn't have a contract to repair this AC, they stood behind it's traditional policy of backing up whatever merchandise or service they sell. I give five out five stars to Sears for service and guarantee. I am glad I buy must of appliances from Sears. I have also taken my car for service there and buy my car tires there! Never a problem! |

My fiance and I decided to register for our wedding at Sears. It was easy enough to add items to the registry in the store or online. Unfortunately, Sears changed their registry system a month after we registered, so the entire system was down for a while and the web address changed. This didn't affect us too much, as it was still three months before the wedding. But what was really irritating is that the new system obviously has some serious glitches.
We got two copies of one present because the system didn't update quickly enough, and we would have gotten multiple copies of another one had a friend not pointed out that her purchase also did not update correctly. Several items that we registered for were on sale at the time, and once the sale ended, the registry item displayed "page not found" instead of the current (non-sale) page. So we had to try to find the items again at their non-sale prices and add them again. All in all, a very poor system. Bed Bath and Beyond is MUCH MUCH MUCH better for wedding registries. |

Sears actually sells good quality products and appliances. However, their repair service is poor. I have had numerous problems with their not showing up when they said they would and not fixing the problem the first time. I think it is very inconsiderate and disrespectful of my time, especially since I have to take off of work. Not only do they not show up, they do not call to say what is going on, nor can you get any kind of answer when you call the Sears 8004MYHOME number.

Sorry to say I am cutting up my card and closing my account after 23 years. I ordered a bed, they made a mistake, the order got broken and never processed, things happen I am ok with that. I got disconnected 3 or 4 times... and finally got to a supervisor who promised me things that never happened. I am now on my 5th supervisor and my second order. Tonight they said my order was somehow canceled yesterday. Ok I am easy going for a while.
These folks are headed for trouble.......If you are thinking Sears... big, established. Surely if I have a problem I can escalate it........don't count on it. |

I have tried to place three different clothing orders (on clearance) on Sears.com - each time the website was having some kind of technical problem. I order from other websites without any difficulty. It's so frustrating to spend the time making a purchasing decision, entering your shipping and credit card information only to find out that the website is encountering technical difficulties - and this has happened three different times - days apart! Never again! Has this happened to anyone else using Sears.com?

I ordered an outdoor shed from Sears.com with the website claiming delivery within 3-5 days. More than 2 weeks later I have yet to receive anything in the way of the product, a phone call explaining what the delay is all about, or even a simple email telling me what is going on.
Calls to customer service and the local store were nothing but frustrating. They were sure quick to charge my credit card though. It was charged over 2 weeks ago and I have nothing, no product, no explanation, nothing. Never, ever, ever, ever buy anything from Sears!!! |

I made the mistake of ordering a set of patio furniture on sears.com. I received a confirmation of my order shortly afterward. When I did not receive a notification that the merchandise was available for pickup in the store within the specified timeframe, I called customer service.
After about 30 minutes on the phone I was connected with a supervisor who advised me that the order was never processed and that the set I ordered was now out of stock for the season. He then hung up on me. This is not the first bad experience that I have had with Sears. It will be my last - I'm done with them! |

I did not place my order with Sears.com because I went to several website search engines that compare prices for the item I wanted. I found 5 sites that had the item for between $8-10. The exact same item; brand, color, everything was $94.98 at Sears.com. I thought surely it must be a mistake, but I went to the website and it was accurate.

I placed an order for a monitor friday and the confirmation email stated that it would ship saturday, now wednesday and has not ships. I am not allowed to cancel the order, they expect to pay for shipping charges back to them, and no reimbursement for shipping charges (understandable). There is also a 15% restocking fee, i called to cancel many times and was told i could not, spoke to many people just getting the run around. 10-14 days in unacceptable turnaround to receive an item especially since i payed for Expedited shipping. This is the second time i have used sears online, the first was no better, bought a laptop and got something different then what i ordered and poorly packed. Rude customer service. Been a member since 1964 now going to close my account!
