I haven't been that big of a user of Sears or the Sears web-site, but when we started looking for a new refrigerator, it turned out to be a great place to shop in town. Looking through the choices, we ended up figuring out a couple of options that were to our liking, and when we were forced to order it on a moment’s notice, decided that the Sears web-site would be a good option for us. Perusing through the online options, there was actually more available on the web-site than they actually have in the store. This is probably because there is a limited amount of space in the physical store, but unlimited space online to show off all of the brands and models that they may have available at any given moment. It's also very easy to make your way through the selection menus through brands, types, and models, and it was very easy to locate the models we were interested in the most.
Sears isn't just limited to refrigerators, and if you have ever been in one of their physical stores, you have an idea of what they have to offer on their web-site. This includes everything from the automotive department to electronics and computers, all the way to beauty and jewelry items. Their home department is quite extensive, and so is the number of refrigerators that they have to offer. What we were most interested in purchasing was one of their Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators, and the perfect model was available at a good price right off of the web-site. Finding what we wanted was easy, and if we had needed it, there was a lot of extra media including pictures of the fridge both open and closed, full of food, and what it looked like from the sides. There was also an extensive pamphlet about the specifications of the unit, including things like how much energy it would use, and just what the exact dimensions would be when it was brought into the house.
One of the most important options that we needed to take advantage of on the web-site, was to have the Kenmore refrigerator delivered to the house without any additional effort needed on our end. We needed everything to happen in a quick timeframe, and we really needed it to be completely stress-free. The remarkable thing about the web-site was that they were going to send up the refrigerator and deliver it with no added cost to us. That meant that we would only have to pay for the fridge and the taxes and we would have a brand new unit in the house. What I needed to do though, was have it installed for us, so I was more than willing to pay the extra fee associated with the installation. On the webs-site they list a maximum charge of $139.99 for the installation, but that is adjusted down depending on where you live. I can only assume that the biggest cities have to pay the full price, but ours was in the $80.00 range to have it done.
I purchased the refrigerator with the option that it would be delivered the next day, completing the order on a Friday afternoon. Sears did not deliver the fridge on Saturday, but did call later in the afternoon to let me know that they would be delivering it on Sunday. I didn't mind that at all, and was actually surprised that the company was doing work on Sunday. I was at the house on Sunday to accept the delivery, and they were actually a tad early, making me even happier with my purchase. They had given me a two-hour window, but it wasn't even needed, and it saved me a lot of time in my day. The two delivery guys unloaded it, hooked it up, gave me a quick crash-course on how to use it as well as how to change out the water filters, and everything was good to go. I ended up walking away from my experience with this facet of the Sears web-site with an extremely high opinion of the company, and the feeling that I would go back to them again. The price on the web-site was very affordable, my product arrived in perfect condition, and we have been extremely happy with our refrigerator. I would highly recommend the Sears.com web-site to anyone now, and suggest it as a great place to go if you are looking for home appliances.
