Terrible service, don't care attitude, managers "don't talk to customers"

I hope my experience will help others planning an online puchase of music items - worst purchase experience of my life.
I ordered a Mandolin online on 11/28  but I got two emails with 2 separate order #s & tracking #s.  Naturally since I only ordered 1, that's all I wanted.  When I called - they said they would cancel one of the orders - said this had happened a lot lately.  The first order was recalled on 12/1 and the second was to arrive on 12/2.  It never arrived, and on 12/3 Sam Ash recalled that one also.  When I called to ask why they cancelled both shipments - no answer except when the first one got back to the warehouse they would ship it out 2-day air at no charge. I was told that an email with specific instructons had been sent to the warehouse manager.  It was supposed to ship back to me on 12/5. On Monday the 8th, I called and they had no record of a re-ship.  Wanted to know if I wanted to order another replacement.  I talked to a Sales Manager (James) on 12/8 who called after the credits were issued and asked to re-order from them when he said he'd ship it next-day air.  When I called the next morning and asked for the tracking # they said it never shipped because the order was in a pending payment status and a 3rd party would be calling in 1-2 days to re-check the credit card information they recorded.   So 12 days after the order was placed online - still nothing on the way to me.  Since James was off until 2pm on Tuesdays I asked for the next person up the chain.  I was told that his boss does not talk to customers.  That says a lot about the mindset of Sam Ash.
I work for a Fortune 50 company.  And I can assure you that ANYONE at my company will talk to a customer at any time.   I called James later that evening and his attitude was very much a "so what" attitude.  I have nothing but positive things to say about Musicians Friend - good luck with your shopping.
