I ordered a rug from RugsUSA.com, when placing my order I must have hit the button twice, creating a duplicate order. Since I placed this order on a Saturday I was unable to call, so I called first thing Monday morning. I explained the situation, they cancelled my one order, great, things looked good. Come Tuesday morning I noticed my credit card had been charged, so I fully expected a shipment notification any time. I waited a week, no shipment notification, but I did get an e-mail that my order was cancelled. I immediately called up to ask why my order was cancelled, they explained it was a duplicate. I gently told them that the duplication issue has already been taken care of and I would still like one rug. I was called back and told that my order was not in fact cancelled - despite the status on the website. When I asked when it would be shipped they said they'd have to call me back.
I never got a call back, so when I called again the next day I was told it would be shipped in about 3 weeks - meanwhile my CC still has the charge on it for merchandise that I don't have, that I believe it illegal. Finally, today, a few days after my last phone call to them my CC has been credited for the rug. I called up to see what the situation was, whether the order is in process or cancelled. I was told last time I spoke to them it was in process, the web site was just wrong. Well, the woman today said it was cancelled, I told her fine, please make sure it's really cancelled I'm taking my business elsewhere.
I'm never ordering from RUGSUSA.com again.
