Several months ago I purchased 80 MS Terminal Server CALS from this vendor. The cost was ~$6,000.00. I did not receive 'sealed' software. There were just 4 each 20 User 'Certificates'. When we tried to activate them, we could not. We contacted MS and they said the SW had already been activated, and the way they were sent to us, made them suspect foul play. They encouraged us to contact their software piracy division.

I should have done this, but I decided to work this with Royal. Maybe it was just a mistake? To make a long story short, after months of assurances it would be taken care of, they now refuse to make the matter right. I am now engaged in filing criminal and civil action against them. I am also warning colleagues not to fall into the same trap I did.

I tried to purchase MS Windows Vista software. The sale was received. Two days later I received an email telling me that my transaction has been cancelled because i had used an international credit card and the merchant could not ascertain the availability of funds. I found that unfriendly. Surely, they were under no obligation to ship the goods until the availability of funds had been confirmed. All they had to do was to have their bank process the international credit card. If funds were available, debit the card and send the goods. If there were no funds available, cancel the order. Story done. Customers have to be presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.

I've dealt with Royaldiscount.com several times, their delivery speed is excellent, and I've never had any problems with any of my orders, so I can't comment on their customer service, but, I guess the fact that I haven't had any problems is actually a testament to their customer service. As far as software vendors go, they can't be beat, and I'll definitely be dealing with them again for my future software needs.

In addition, they provided excellent customer follow up (an optional service) which kept me informed of special discounts, products, and promotions. Other online shops have at times seemed pushy and obtrusive; not Royal Discount. They gave me just the right touch for an online shopping experience. Most technical buying is confusing and convenient with alot of frustration but this was an exceptionally pleasant experience! There's always a concern when buying discount software, that you'll get an unauthorized copy, or it won't install, or that the software won't properly register with the company's site. This product was free from all of those issues, installed quickly and properly, registered with MSFT seamlessly, and works flawlessly. The price was the best by far, as well.

My experience with RoyalDiscount was absolutely exceptional. They had PC-Cillan 2006 OEM for about $30 less than the cheapest brick and mortar store. Their sipping fees were very competitive and I was quite pleased with their customer service when I contacted them with a question. From the small dealings I had with them it seemed ok but the point where it all fell apart was that they do not accept international visa cards for on-line purchases. But neither do circuit city or most of the other big national vendors either. This is a big problem with your US vendors. They need to understand that there is more than just the USA

I bought a retail box of Windows XP Home edition (Full version) and it was delivered quickly without hassle. I was a bit suspicious about the price ($142.80), it seemed too good to be true. And my guess was correct - when I tried to activate it online, it showed the following message: "This copy of Windows has been activated too many times before, you will need to contact Microsoft about activation". I was lucky I was able to persuade Microsoft that I had ordered a legitimate copy and paid money for it - so I'm using it now. But I WOULD NEVER EVER DEAL WITH ROYALDISCOUNT.COM anymore and would not recommend anyone dealing with them! Guys from Royaldiscount - if you are reading this, you should know that THIS PRACTICE IS CRIMINAL OFFENCE! Unfortunately, I deleted the order confirmation e-mail with the order number, otherwise you would be in the court already!
