RedEnvelope is one of my favorite online stores to shop. The gifts are classy and classic and I always recive great service in a quick transaction.

I mainly purchase gifts for my husband from RedEnvelope. He's definitely the "gadget" kind of guy. I've purchased a lovely classic wood toolbox ($65), an compass/clock with clip ($20) and most recently for his birthday this year, I purchased a hanging wall valet in classy wood ($65). The products are rather pricy, but I feel they are of great quality.

I like the fact that you can search the gifts by price, by recipient (mother, father, etc) or by occasion (housewarming, birthday, graduation, etc). The site has many gifts to choose from in different price ranges.

About a month ago, I purchased a bonsai tree for a friend ($35 plus required next day shipping $15). I was a little nervous about buying a plant from this site, but I figured the other items I've purchased are so lovely and of high quality, I would take the chance. I received a call from my friend two days later and she LOVED the tree. She told me it came in a box which stated "fragile" and "open immediately, live plant". When I went to visit my friend the next week, I saw the plant and was very happy with my purchase. The bonsai looked just like it did in the picture. Very, very satisfied!

I have also purchased gifts for my father and mother. This site is lovely for purchasing more sophisticated gifts for people you love. And the extra $5 for the signature red gift box with white bow is definitely worth it. Very classy and classic and memorable. We still have a couple of the gift boxes that we use to store photographs in - it's a very high quality box!

There was only one complaint that I had about RedEnvelope and that was the first time I ordered a birthday gift for my husband, I took a look at the personalized gift message card. It looked very generic - they'd basically had a label printed with my message in all caps and attached the sticker to the inside of the card. No formatting or anything, all typed on two lines - even the salutation! I am happy to say that they have now changed this to look a little more personable and friendly and the cards now have formatting to go along with the sophisticated presentation of the gift.
