One Step Ahead

One item I attempted to purchase has been discontinued. It would have been nice to know that at the time of attempted purchase but the company emailed me ASAP to let me know that the item was no longer available.

No issues. Product arrived on time. The gift wrapping wasn't done too well, and the gift card wasn't enclosed, but other than that, it got here when I needed it - which was very quickly. I don't think I'd pay for the wrapping again, though.

The costume I ordered was on back order with an expected ship date of 9/30. I was nervous that I would not receive the items, since most of the time when an item is on back order it never comes in. However, I was very excited when I received an email on the morning of 9/30 from One Step Ahead indicating that my item had been shipped. Overall I was very please with the process!

I had to return the costume, because it was too small, but it was the easiest exhange I've ever done. A new one was ordered while I was on the phone and instructions to exchange the one that was too small was given. Very well explained, and an easy process.

This item was listed as backordered when I purchased it, which is fine. It said that it expected to ship September 30th. On October 4th, I realized that I had not heard anything from them, nor was the item up on the website any longer. I contacted them and they said that the item was no longer going to be avilable from the manufacturer. However, they had never emailed/mailed/called me to inform me of this. Had I not called them, I would still be waiting and my child would be without a Halloween costume. I will probably not do business with this company again.

I like the products at One Step Ahead, but on some items i feel they are a bit over priced and they also charge quite a bit for shipping. They have great products, and I feel if I order enough at a time then the shipping isn't too bad, but if I just want one or two items then I ususally shop elsewhere.

Due to the hot summer months in Louisiana I was looking for a fan for my baby's stroller. I searched the One Step Ahead website and it brought me right to it. I placed my order and received it within a matter of 3 weeks. This was the fastest order I ever received since ordering on line. My experience was great. I do plan to order again. I would also like to continue to get the magazine at home so I can share it with family and friends.

I purchased toddler pillows from One Step Ahead. The pillows were not described correctly on the their website. Had they been described correctly I would not have bought them since they are too high and not appropriate for the use of a small child. It is not worth my while to return them due to the cost of mailing them back and the non-refundable shipping and handling charges.

When ordering the costume in the catalog, they showed a different color than I recieved in the mail. I ordered the matching pants and long sleeve shirt that they showed matched the costume, which was coral. I got the pants set first, since the costume was on back order twice and threw the recipe away. I got the costume weeks later and it was a different color. It was red, not coral, so now the matching outfit doesn't go and unfortunately I threw the receipt away and can't return it. Other than that, I love the costume! My baby looks adorable in it.

Being able to see entire catalogue online is an excellent option! Use it everytime. Look for shopping experience with this option and would use a merchant who has this option over one who does not.
