I had been looking online for the storage solution parts I needed for a couple of hours. The parts are very common and I am sure the other sites had what I needed, but I either couldn't find them or the descriptions were so poor that I couldn't tell what they were selling. I finally remembered Northern Tool from the catalogs they used to send me. The Northern Tool site made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for and delivered what I ordered on time. I should have started with Northern Tool and saved the frustration.

I had e-mailed Northern to ask advise on purchasing some parts via their web site and have not received a response yet. I need to follow up with a phone call to their customer service to get some questions answered as I still need some additional parts.

Good prices but incompetent service. They accidentally doubled my order. I called twice and pointed out the error, and they said that they would cancel one of the orders. Then...both orders arrived. They then wanted me to pay for the return shipment. When I pointed out that it was their mistake and noted that I tried repeatedly to keep them from shipping both, they said that they would refund the shipping. Then, they didn't refund the shipping.

This is the first time that I have had a problem with any of the products I have purchased from Northern Tool. The first parts washer arrived damaged with the lid dented and broken. I had no problems with the return and a replacement being sent out...however...the second parts washer arrived with damage to it's lid too. But at least the lid on this one wasn't as bad so I kept it since I needed to use it and couldn't wait for another replacement. I should have contacted Northern Tool on seeing it they would at least allow me a discount on the second damaged parts washer but I didn't. Since this is the only time I have had a problem with an item from Northern, I will probably continue to shop there. Thank you! Roy Horning
