My very long story is below: in short, this company has terribly slow returns/customer service, is disorganized, understaffed, and a hassle. I was dealing with an erroneous charge for five months before I was properly credited.
I ordered Brother compatible toner from Neximaging last March-- the initial order arrived about 3 days after I placed the order. However, the toner containers were a slightly different shape from the Brother genuine cartridges and I had difficulty installing them in my unit. Once I finally got it in my DCP 1000 machine, toner spilled everywhere, and my prints looked terrible (with toner all over them). I tried to take the toner cartridge out and it broke off a metal plate inside my drum unit (note that a new drum would cost $90+) . I then tried to put in a genuine Brother cartridge, and the prints still looked terrible-- it was broken. So I called customer service and told them I wanted them to replace the drum-- as they told me the toner should be fine and it was probably a fluke. It took a couple of calls to get them to tell me they would replace my drum. I waited two weeks, still no drum unit. I called a couple more times to complain, and finally got someone on the phone to help me-- he told me he would send out a new drum unit that day. A week later I got the drum. It worked fine with their toner (it was also a brother compatible product, not genuine) as well as the Brother genuine toner. But then, two weeks later, I get my credit card bill, and I have been charged $96 for the drum unit, without my authorization. So then I call them again (It's May now...), and I'm told that I need to send back my broken drum unit to get the credit (something I was never told in the first place). So they send me a label, and a week later I get it and send them my broken drum unit. Then I wait to see my credit, and guess what, it doesn't come! Now it's late June (I was waiting for my credit card bill...) and I call to complain, and am told they're behind on paperwork and that it should be coming on my next statement. A month later, still no credit. I finally get a guy who says he will credit my account if I get him the FedEx tracking number from the label which I used to send in the cartridge-- luckily I was keeping good records and passed this on. I checked two days later with my credit card company and was told it still wasn't credited, so I called again, and got a manager on the phone who said she would run the credit that day-- well she did, but instead of giving me $96 of credit, she CHARGED my account $96 more dollars. Three phone calls and a month later IN SEPTEMBER I got a credit back for both of the erroneous charges. So now I have my money back, but I don't think it was worth the hassle.
My advice: buy genuine Brother products. Less mess, less headache, less risk.
