Received the cooler last night and hooked it up to the computer, which had been on all day and was very hot. It cooled some, but was not sure it was going to work. Am using a Gateway NX860XL laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS graphics card, and the computer normally runs very hot. I turned both the computer and cooler pad off over night to allow the computer to cool down. Turned both on this morning, and the cooling pad is doing its job beautifully, and it is very quiet. The computer is not hot to the touch in any area, and it has been on long enough to heat up. (Don't know how to measure the temperature except by touch.) This is a winner! Newegg experience was excellent, and the tracking information was right on target. Thank you Newegg!

Even though my item arrived in a fairly reasonable time frame, it seems that unnecessary shipping delays are incurred when Newegg ships via DHL, only to have them turn it over to the USPS at the destination city, when the item could have been shipped directly from the source via USPS at no additional expense to begin with.

My only complaint about my purchase from newegg was the perticular product I baught was not eligable for return, only an exchange for the same exact item. The item had few reviews, but rivaled the specs of most of the top of the line video cards, so I had to make my purchase on a guestimate, and hope it lived up to the numbers. I also had to purchase a newegg extended warrenty, just to cover my end, if anything happened, since I would not be able to exchange it for something else, and after 30 days I'd have to deal with the manufacturer. This was offered at a great price, and I would honestly buy it on more expensive items, but I felt forced into doing so with the lack of exchange option. I'm sad to say the cards are not operating at what the specs and reviews claim, and I am looking into my system to see if it's another part that is at fault. The power supply, however, is amazing. I felt much more confident buying it knowing if it was DOA or didn't perform I could swich for a different model, even though, I wont have to.

My credit score is over 800. Newegg declined my credit application because they could not "verify" certain information. Yet when I called,they were unable to tell me over the phone what that info was that they could not verify. After checking with EXPERIAN we were relieved to know we weren't victims of Identity theft. If Newegg cannot verify information, NEWEGG should go to the source of that information, the credit consumer"ME", and be able to explain to me what the problem is, and not tell me to wait for the letter in the mail to explain what the problem is. My experience with the credit application process is totally unacceptable, there should be a simple process in place by which minor issues such as this can be resolved quickly and easily for all involved. If you purchase at NEWEGG use your own credit card and dont try and save a fews dollars using their credit deals.

Purchased a brand new 23" Acer from Newegg and it came with dead pixel and a cracked case and they said it was non-refundable. They took $200.00 from me and gave me a broken piece of equipment and told me there was nothing they could do about it besides file a claim with UPS which won't be investigated for 2-3 weeks. So here I sit using an old broken monitor for my company work and Newegg has my money.
*UPDATE* One day later reps from Newegg contacted me and are working to fix the problem. They already have a new monitor in the mail with express shipping, pre-paid my UPS fees for sending the broken one back, and are giving me one-on-one service to make sure I'm satisified. Definitely more than I expected... |

i have been ordering from newegg for about 5 years now. everytime i order they ship within 24 hours, sometimes even the same day!, i receive the package in great shape and within 2-3 days. The shipping prices are great and a lot of products have free shipping. Prices cannot be beat! almost ever...its amazing. only 1 time a package was lost but this was due to UPS not newegg but newegg shipped a replacement with overnight shipping through a differant shipping carrier without any haslte it was a huge relief.

Recently I purchased a Samsung LiteScribe DVD burner from Newegg. When I received it, it had trouble reading many discs and was spinning up and down very noisily. I contacted newegg for an RMA, and they told me that to save me money and time, they'd just ship another burner out to me for FREE!
When the burner arrived it worked perfectly. Never has any retailer gone out of their way to facilitate my needs (without even having to return a product). What an amazing company. They have a loyal customer for life in me. |
