I would NOT recommend buying from this site.
I ordered a 3-piece bookcase at Mercantila online on 8/31/09.  FedEx left one box outside my door on 9/11/09.  The box was seriously damaged (I wouldn’t have signed for it had I been home), so I was not surprised to find two pieces splintered when I opened it – though I hadn’t counted on needing 4 stitches in my hand after trying to sort out the pieces…. I *was* surprised to find that only one of the three pieces I had ordered was shipped – while they had no problem charging me promptly for the three-piece set. Anyway, I checked my order confirmation to find out how to file a damage claim and get the rest of my shipment.  On 9/11, I filled out the form as instructed.  They note that problems will be responded to in one business day.  The evening of 9/14, I still had yet to hear anything from them, so I submitted another form, in case the first one had gotten lost.  The evening of 9/15, still having heard nothing, I waited on the phone 30 minutes, listening to them again reiterate their response time is 1 business day, and also that Customer Service reps can only help you fill out the form (that I had already submitted). I finally talked to a Rep who assured me they had received my forms and were working on it.  It is now 9/18, and I have heard nothing. As soon as I can find another half hour to spare, I guess I will call again…
