Lillian Vernon Online Order.

I had 2 orders come in recently from Lillian Vernon. I ordered duffel bads (monogrammed) in different colors for each of my 5 kids. They had a 15% discount coupon on my catalog which I used, and sent me another one which I used for my second order. I ordered the 16" duffels (5) and the 23" duffels. I ordered the khaki, pink & lavender, purple camoflauge, turquoise, red & blue ones. The only two colors I wasn't thrilled with was the turquoise (darker than shown in catalog & online) & camoflauge (hard to read monogramming. My favorite color is my son's Khaki colored duffel.

Quality: I thought the quality of the items I ordered was great. The duffels are sturdy and have nice black monogramming, nice colors (except ones mentioned above), and a large thick sturdy black strap. They look easy to clean (I haven't had to yet), but they're a vinyl material.

Problems: I did experience a few minor problems with my order. I was missing several straps for the 10 duffel bags I ordered. The turquoise bag I also wasn't thrilled with the monogramming, as it looked a little crooked. I called them and they're sending me a new duffel (no cost to me/I don't have to return other one I'm not happy with) and are sending me the straps that were missing. I should receive that within 10-14 days.

I also ordered monogrammed lunch sacks for all the kids. These were good quality & my daughter especially loves hers. They are nice colors, and the monogramming is nice & clear in black. They are insulated with a white colored vinyl inside. The bottom is zippered compartment where you can put a sandwich or pack however you like. It has a little handle on the top which is thick and black. I'm happy with the quality of this item and it will be useful for trips with the kids (car rides), picnics, or school.

I was happy with the quality & ended up ordering more of these. You can fit 20 CD's in the one I ordered. The plastic you put the CD's in is thin, but effective. It zips easily once the CD's are in & has sure made my Car neater as all the cd's are in one pretty, and compact case. It definately saves room, and I bought one for my daughter also, so all her cd's are in one place.

The Lillian Vernon web-site is easy to look through & moves fairly quick. Items are divided into categories such as organizational items, seasonal items, kids, outdoor, and accessories. They have many pages of items for adults and kids alike which you can monogram. There are some good idea's for gifts, since people like monogrammed items. The website is colorful. They take credit cards, and have a section where you can track your order, which I didn't need to you, but if you do it's great.

It was very easy to order through Lillian Vernon. The only problem I had was the strap issue(see above) & quality on one of the 10 duffels I ordered. Those are being replaced and I only had to call, so was not time consuming. Shipment came quickly within a week, and I was happy with my experience. Some items do look cheap to me on this site/catalog, so I'd be picky, but what I ordered was of good quality, price and sturdy.

Overall, the items costs less than other brands (like LL Bean) and I am satisfied with the quality. There were a lot of colors to choose from. The sales lady I spoke with was friendly, so for me customer service was good, and quick. I also only waited on the line for about 1 minute. I get frequent coupons from them. I have 2 kids & 3 stepkids, so having bags with their names on them really simplifies things for us. We're using the small duffel for toys on our weekend trip this weekend, and the larger duffel for their clothes. The bags could also be used for soccer, dancing, sleepover, etc. and will be hard to lose since their names are on them.
