Lane Bryant online catalog is changing its name to "Woman Within." This 100-year-old company has the reputation and experience to garner the plus-size market because of the satisfied customers, like myself, they have helped over the years. Their product line is always current with well done graphics and a great variety of colors and sizes.
The website address can currently be reached by going to:
www.lbcatalog.com - however, they will be changing that site to www.womanwithin.com fairly soon. Lane Bryant online has never been affiliated with the retail stores that you see in the malls, and President Stephanie Sobel tells us that they want the new name to reflect their independent online clothing status.
In case you might be wondering, Lane Bryant credit cards, coupons and gift certificates will still work at Woman Within for the time being.
I love this store because of the quality, convenience, comfort of the clothes and exceptional value. I usually look for the specials. In the past I have received free luggage, free shorts with top, free shipping, and in my latest order- 50% off my fourth item. Bear in mind, the clothing is for large and plus size gals. The sizes like 12, 14, 16 and up are dead-on accurate and if you are short and wide, the petite sizes are exactly the inch or so shorter that you need. The wide size gives pant legs, upper arms, tummy and butt the little bit of extra stretch or room you need and is never too wide or so large it bags and sags like other clothing companies. The other thing I really appreciate is that their clothing is cotton-based not polyester or made of thin, flimsy material.
Specifically, the new site shows explicitly how they are changing to "Woman Within" with bright pink banner display. The banner gives you a clear choice of:
"Order Status", "My Account", "Customer Service", "Email /Catalog", "Request for Credit Card", etc. At the base of the site are handy links for helps. The site also has a secure server and clear and easy language and directions to follow.
I like the fact that they deliver UPS which can be tracked and is delivered directly to your door, unlike US mail. The shipping costs can be a little steep if you are ordering several items. For example, up to $15 worth of merchandise is $5.99, up to $39 is $6.99, and so forth. But they do offer Express Shipping (3 to 4 days for an additional $7.99) or the ultimate SuperFast for $16.99. Since they are reliable, accurate and fast, the 10 day Standard Delivery works just fine for me. From time to time they do offer free shipping, so watch for that.
My most recent purchase was two tops and a black Nylon faux-fur coat. The coat was half-off. All the items were close out and exactly as shown and described. The quality was good and so was the fit. Everything comes nicely wrapped in plastic bags complete with shipping information and additional catalogs, etc. The customer service was excellent. They not only credited back to me (on my credit card immediately) those close-out items that were totally out of stock, but helped me find alternative sale items when I called on them again for some spring items.
If you like Junk Mail one of the drawbacks of doing business with them may not be a problem for you, but brace yourself for an onslaught of various sister company catalogs such as Chadwicks, Roamans, Brylane Home and so forth which take two months or more to remove from the mailing lists if you should ask to "Unsubscribe".
The shopping experience is always pleasurable because they are reliable, accurate, courteous and economical. They always have specials and the clothes are comfortable and well-made unlike other on-line catalog stores.
