I have shopped at the K-mart Online Store only one time. Every thing went well. But the shipping cost skyrocketed at the last minute and I received a high cost result in the end. I have to say that was a turn off for me. I have never seen shipping costs so high.The site does not charge for shipping by distance so I could never figure out why the shipping was so high in price.

What the K-mart Online Store sells:

The K-mart Online Store carries thousands of items. They have a very large selection. They sell electronics, home goods, towel, blankets and bedding sets. At the K-mart Online Store you can get toys, gift cards for the store, you can get computer related items, clothing items for any age and any gender. The site has a lot to offer as far as home decor items, Martha Stewart brand items and much more. They have appliances of all shapes and sizes, craft supplies and so on. The variety of items that you can choose from is pretty big. I have to say that they have a lot of stuff that would be worth the money if the shipping was not so crazy and unexpected. Maybe the should lower the prices even more so at least you get a normal total when you do check out.

What I have purchased:

I only purchased once from the K-mart Online Store like I already said. I bought towels and bedding for three of our beds. The items that I ordered were very nice. I can't complain about the quality or the price of the items before shipping costs were added in. I did get use from the items that I bought and I liked them a lot. I liked the fact that the items are good quality. They have that going for them.

The prices:

The prices at the K-mart Online Store were really good. Not as cheap as Walmart or Target on some things but good otherwise. The shipping price was just way too high. I was not happy with that and I can't stress that enough in this review. All in all the prices are ok. I don't mind what the items cost at all.

Ease of ordering:

It is simple to order from the K-mart Online Store. All you need to do is find what you want either by browsing sections of the store at a time, or by just using the search bar if you already know what you are looking for. Then you add the stuff that you want to your cart and go to the check out when your done. Once you are in the check out page you have to enter your billing information and your payment information. You can choose to use credit cards, e-checks and more. They have bill me later too. But that takes passing a credit report in order to get to use that option.
After that enter your shipping information and get your invoice.

Shipping:

The shipping went well. I was able to get my package with in 6 days after I had ordered my items. Every item was in the box and they items were all perfectly in tact. They do use good packaging methods and I have no complaints about how they were sent or how long my order took.

Again, the shipping costs were too high. To explain better when you get to the check out you put all of your information in. And when you view the last page you see your total. This is your total before taxes and shipping charges are added in to it. But then when you enter your payment information in, the darn site charges an arm and a leg for the shipping. And by then it is too late. Your payment has gone through. You would have to go through so much to get it canceled and it is hard to choose what would be tougher. Getting your money back, or taking a massive loss with the shipping costs.


My thoughts and recommendations:

I honestly can't recommend a store that is willing to rip people off. $22.00 for shipping on towels and bedding is just crazy. I chose standard shipping which was supposed to be cheapest. I can't even begin to imagine what express would have cost me. It may have been more then my order total was. I just can't recommend the K-mart Online Store in good faith. If the shipping price had not been so high I would recommend them because other then the shipping every thing went very smooth.
