Our son is into robotics and after doing some research discovered a kit by Lego that's supposed to be very good. The kit is expensive, so I did more research to find the best price. Kmart.com was the winner. Even after adding shipping ($7.21, pretty average shipping cost) and tax they still beat all other merchants we looked at. We placed the order and since I had never ordered online through Kmart came here to look at reviews. I must say I probably wouldn't have ordered from kmart.com if I had looked here first. I'm glad I didn't because our experience has been very different from most.

We placed the order on a Wednesday and almost immediately received an email confirming the order that said they would notify us when it was shipped. Friday morning we got another email informing us that the item had been shipped. We were able to track our order and it gave us a delivery date for Monday. After seeing all the negative feedback here we were pleasantly surprised when the correct item was waiting on our porch on Monday afternoon. An invoice was in the box but I've seen better packaging. Still skeptical, we opened the box, put batteries in and made sure everything was in good working order. Everything worked fine.
The only challenge now is not breaking down and giving it to him before Christmas!

Maybe this is a sign of better things to come from Kmart.com.
