The battery in the receiver of our Panasonic Telephone KX-TGA550M, that we purchased in Winter 2005 - I remember the date well, as it was within 1-2 months after my wife was seriously injured as a pedestrian in a car accident on the Lower East Side of New York City - kept on losing power when we spoke on the phone.  We'd previously purchased a replacement battery direct from Panasonic.  This time I decided to call to ask if J&R had it (the Panasonic HHRP104A Type 29 Replacement Battery for Cordless Phones), so that they could either ship it to me, or I could pick it up from the store itself.  (My dentist is on Fulton St and Nassau St, right near J&R, and I'd wanted to make an appointment with him anyway; I was prepared to visit J&R to pick up the battery on that trip.)  I called J&R to order the battery, and they were very warm and helpful, but, alas, they were out of stock of that particular Replacement Battery.  So they offered to mail it to me when they got it in stock, and waive the shipping fees.  I thought that was very gracious of them, and good business practice.  And before I knew it, within four or five days, I had that battery.  So they were both courteous, fair, and quick on following through.  I thank them!
