Low quality product (significantly worse than Ikea). Slow shipping (even for replacement parts that were absent from initial shipment) and deceiving customer service communication. Avoid these folks!

This is the first time I have shopped with Home Decorators and have found it to be a great shopping experience. The table I ordered was of excellent quality and very well packed for shipping. From the beginning of my order to the very end Home Decorators kept me informed--I will shop again.

Not sure if I'd shop again - I liked the rug style and to runners came - but the larger rug was delayed twice and then, I was told it's not available. I ordered the style in another size, and then was told (after confirmation it was coming) that it is delayed. I like your catalog, but the merchandise needs to be ready to ship, or tell us up front. thanks!!!

After reading others reviews on Home Decorators, I was a little worried. I don't know why, now. It must be a handful of people that experienced bad customer or delivery service. I found a corner cabinet for my bathroom. It was the right size, color and price. I placed my order online, received an email of fedex delivery service with tracking number and received my order in 8 days, right to my front door. My items were not damaged, and it was a little hard to assemble. I say that because I am not mechanically inclined not because of the instructions I downloaded from the website. I feel sorry for the others who had a bad experience, because I did not. I would recommend Home Decorators to everyone.

We found the bench to be of good quality. The measurements for the inside storage were misleading. We thought we could stand 2 rows of DVDs insid, one on the bottom and one on the top shelf, but this was not possible. We did have a little trouble with some of the assembly. Took 2 people over 4 hours and we almost had a "dowel" disaster, but my husband was able to remove the dowel. Otherwise we are happy with what we ordered.

I got such a great deal on my rugs, and I'm recommending the company to my friends and family. My only hangup was that one rug was delayed in shipping. However, I received the rug before Christmas, which was my main goal. Great transaction!

My shopping experience was fun, I enjoyed looking at all of the wonderful items. Everything I have ever ordered from your company via telephone or the internet has been top quality. I also ordered an end table and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I wish that you would have free shipping sometimes, there are more items that I would like to order, but paying shipping charges can proved to be expensive. If we could get free shipping like some of the other companies offer(e.g. J C Penny offer free shipping for orders $49.00 or more)it would be great. if customers could get free shipping sometimes, I believe they, like me, would be able to order more merchandise. I have heard people say that one reason they don't order as much is because of the shipping charges.

Home Decorators is just fine. Our problem was with the shipping section. We ordered the Burnham wide Hall Tree on November 25 and after speaking to freight company on December 12th and going through a few different freight companies, it was finally delivered using an out-source freight and received on the 14th of December. The Burnham swivel-top TV stand was ordered on same date and received November 29th.

I ordered a 3-tiered and a 6-tiered Mission bookcase from Home Decorators (HD) at the end of Oct 07. The former arrived in good shape; it's lovely. The latter arrived broken: the bookcase came in a simple cardboard box, about 7 feet long, weighing 106 lbs. Little wonder Fed Ex left it lying on my sidewalk. The break looked recent. When I sent it back, HD wrongly re-sent a 3-tiered bookcase. I sent that back. (Re-sending takes a while, because they have to mail you the shipping label.) When I asked them to delay shipment for a few days, they said they could not. They then credited me for a 3-tiered bookcase ($70 less than 6-tiered); I received no credit for the supplemental shipping fee for the 6-tiered bookcase (said fee, one presumes, being paid for proper delivery of the item). Based on my experience, one should NEVER order from Home Decorators.

This is a gift and is not out of the box yet.I am hoping all the parts are there, what I did see looks nice, as expected. I communicated with an on-line consultant and he was very very helpful. The pics on the website were not detailed enough and the consultant was able to answer all my questions.

Having purchased thousands of dollors worth of furniture etc, Iwas surprised that this particular item was NOT as pictured, in quality and looks. However, Home Decorators arranged for the lamps to be picked up and returned. I still do business with them, 99% of my purchases were fine.

The item I purchased came damaged...I was very pressed for time so I opted to keep the item and try to fix the daqmage myself. Trying to get compensation for the damage of the item, and the amount I was compensated was not satisfactory in my opinion...a re-order would have been another 4 months!

They sent me 2 emails to state delays in shipping, the latest putting delivery at the first of the year, which was 6 weeks after my order and unacceptable. I called customer service to cancel and they accepted my input. Two days later I get a phone call that the order has been shipped, and I had already purchased a replacemnt from another vendor. The person on the phone tells me that those were approximate shipping dates and in a later conversation tells me that they require 3-5 days to confirm a cancellation, but that is not mentioned anywhere. They are charging me a 25% restocking fee of $68. All because the custeromer service rep did not mention the 3-5 day waiting period. She said she was sorry about that but that doesn't get my $68 dollars back. I've ordered from them a few times in the past, but they have lost me as a customer in the future.
