Finding parts for older but still usable small appliances can be difficult.

What I wanted: I was specifically looking for the clear bubble part of the lid for an older Faberware purculator. After having no luck with brick and mortar stores, I went online. I wanted to find this part with reasonable shipping charges. More importantly I wanted to find an online source for appliance parts if I needed them.

What I found: During one of the searches I stumbled upon Goodman's, http://goodmans.net and found not only did they have that particular part but they had parts for a lot of other apliances. Their shipping charges were reasonable so I decided to give them a try.

My experience: I ordered the part and had it shipped to my US postal box. We check this box about once a week if we are expecting a parcel and less if we aren't. Imagine my surprise two days later when the part was at the post office! I had expected a week's delivery time at least. The part was exactly as ordered, fit the purculator perfectly and the shipping time was incredible. My first thought was this was a total fluke.

A couple of months later the regulator on my Mirro pressure canner needed replacing. I called Mirro to find they do not carry parts for their pressure canners but they gave me a number to call and order the part. I sat on hold 15 minutes before getting angry. I went online and checked Goodman's. They had the part and because this is an important part for the pressure canner I ordered two. Their check-out process is easy and secure. Again, the parts were sitting at the mailbox when I checked three days later. I'm now hooked on Goodman's. They are the first place I check not only for parts but also for small appliances. I highly recommend them!
