I didnt get all I wanted for Christmas- I wanted some clothes. But, Im glad no one bought me any- because Im rather picky, and hard to fit- a 0 petite in the pants to be exact. So, I usually have to go online to find a 0 and a petite. No big deal.
I decided to get some stuff online while everyone was throwing big sales, so I decided to check out gap.com. I dont have a Gap really close to me, and to be honest, I dont think Ive ever been in an actual Gap store, but I would for sure shop again at www.gap.com.
Just before I forget here, Gap does participate in the Ebates program, which gives a little back on your purchase price, and Gap does 3% cash back on your purchase.
So, when logging on to Gap.com, even though it was very tempting to look at kids clothes first, this was about me, not them, they probably had 3 times as many clothes as I did, so I had to restrain myself.
Across the top of the screen youll see clickable links for Men, Women, GapKids, GapBaby, GapMaternity, and GapBody. Once you put your mouse on Women, a little drop down menu will say petite or tall, but I just clicked on Women and you could see everything offered.
Whats nice about Gap.com is that its pretty basic- no flashy backgrounds- just white, and I found it easy to get where I was going. I wanted to then shop for pants, so I selected bottoms from the menu on the left, and then I was able to shop by size from a drop down menu. They had 36 dress pants available, but only 18 came in a 0 petite, but for me, thats quite a bit more selection than other places I had tried. Im sure the store has more than 36 pairs of dress pants to choose from, so Id say the selection was not quite as wide as the store. But, they do carry basic items such as plain t-shirts and dress shirts, and there are plenty of jeans and pants to choose from as well.
Anyway, I found some cute pants on sale for $49, and then I wandered around and ended up finding two tops on sale as well, and as I searched for pants, I did the same thing with tops and just searched by size. I hate it when I cant search by size, because usually the one thing I want isnt available in my size.
So, I got about $80 worth of stuff, and then decided to check out. Just a note here, but if you happen to have a password and ID with Old Navy or Banana Republic, you can log into Gap as well with the same one- they are all owned by the same company. So, since I shop with Old Navy as well, so I checked out that way.
As far as shipping was concerned- well they had free shipping with orders over $100, but I didnt have that much merchandise, so I ended up paying $6 for shipping, which wasnt too terrible, and I also had to pay tax in my home state of Tennessee.
Then after checking out, I got a confirmation email, that also had a status link I could click on to check on my order. Then a few days later, I got an email letting me know my order had shipped, and a tracking link as well. I got my order a week after placing my order online, it was a little slower due to the holidays, but no big deal.
I was pleased with my order and I would order from them again, but more than likely it would just be during a sale, because the prices are a little higher than others out there, plus Im sure the stores have more selection than online. But, all in all, I would suggest you shop there and I had a pleasant experience, and would shop there again.
