Delivery speed: quick! (I live a few blocks from their 'office'...I picked them up).

Order Accuracy: I ordered the Transitions Lens option; while the lens do indeed 'transition', they come no where near the transitions lens my friends have, nor do they match the ratings given on transitions own technical data sheet for the lens (transitions VI).

Customer service: Unfortunately, very poor. Not good about returning calls. Fortunately, I'm nearby, so I just walked into the office. When I initially picked up the lens, I noticed after walking outside into the parking lot (and the bright, midday sun) that the lens weren't doing much in the way of darkening; after standing there a few minutes, they still didn't darken. I returned to their office and explained this; a gal named "Josey" (an 'online optometrist and showroom manager') explained that it takes the lens a week or two to 'break in' and achieve their full glory, but that she would check them anyway, which she did. She noted that they were fine.
After checking with a friend or two that own these lens, I was informed that, no, they darken quite a lot more than the 15% or so that I was seeing, and no, they didn't require a break-in period. I then called Transitions directly to ask the same; the customer service rep almost laughed when I mentioned a 'break-in period' and said, no, that's not how it works; and wanted me to fax a copy of the lab work done on the lens to insure that they were in fact transition lenses.
This information in hand, I called Frames Direct to speak with them but was told that the returns person was 'out to lunch' and would soon return my call. After waiting nearly two hours, I just went to the office. Explaining all that had taken place, it was obvious that my money was theirs and they really could care less. The 'online optometrist' took them to a back room to 'check them'. (not only where they not darkening an appreciable amount, but the prescription was wrong somehow...I couldn't see clearly with them); NOTE: I did not get my eye exam from Frames Direct, but my other glasses with the same prescription give me great, crisp vision.
She returned to tell me once again that the lenses were fine and that in fact, in spite of what Transitions told me, it did take time for them to break in. (?)
I had decided at that point that I wasn't giving four hundred dollars for glasses that I A)couldn't see through clearly and that B) were not performing as stated. She suggested that I call Transitions to make the complaint, and that she could do nothing for me. She wanted to know what I wanted her to do about it, and I requested to speak to the man in charge; she informed me that the Doctor wouldn't be in until tomorrow, but perhaps I could get a refund. I left the glasses with her and took my receipt.

Tomorrow I will return with an update. Either I will get my money refunded in full, get a replacement pair of glasses that I can see through and that actually have Transitions VI treatment, or I will own a very expensive pair of glasses that I cannot wear and will be calling for a favor from an attorney.
