Unbelievable! The last (and only) two times I used FTD for flowers/gifts to be sent to my girlfriend were completely screwed up! The first one arrived late by two days and this last has not showed up at all. DHL next day service was supposedly used and given a tracking number which showed an estimated date of 5/11. It is now 5/13 (Mother's Day) and nothing! I was attempting to make this one a surprise also, well, SURPRISE! NO FLOWERS OR CANDY FOR YOU! Calling customer service for both FTD and DHL was also a complete waste of time, automated, waiting on hold, the usual. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of poor quality service at such a high price.
The one thing that kills me is, the arrangements and candy were picked up by DHL in Florida! I'm sitting here in Lowell, MA, why would any floral company send flowers or perishables from across half a continent when there are literally dozens of locations around this state? Bottom line, never again will I rely on FTD or DHL for time critical deliveries or gifts. Thank God FTD and DHL do not have the monopoly on these services.
UPDATE 5/14/07
Well they finally arrived (four days late) dead. For the past three days I've been put on hold an average of 20 minutes each, sent to a message center to leave a message and received only one returned call. Finally got to a human and after another 15 minutes got the charge reversed on the order. The only good thing out of this, three pieces of chocolate!
