My experience with the Discovery Store has been a nightmare. I ordered a $100 Gift Card. I chose the free christmas delivery. This was the 1st week in December. I received an email stating that the gift card was shipped and would arrive in 7-10 business days.
After the first 7 days I called the customer service number and was told " We do not have a tracking code for gift cards and you should wait a few more days and then call again"
Well,I waited a few more days and called again and was told It will be there before Christmas" So I waited yet again a few days and called them on Friday December 21, and was told I was out of luck. The computer showed that someone had sent it through parcel post wich takes 14 days.
They have no idea how that happened. So, I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was told "We don't have any supervisors working tonight" When I insisted on speaking to one, the customer service rep. told me " I have to disconnect from you" And she hung up.
My sister,who is an attorny,called back and was screamed at by the customer service rep. We were told once again that we were out of luck. They can not do anything for us and there was NO Supervisors working there. When my sister threatened a LAWSUIT they found a supervisor within 1 minute. So I guess supervisors do work there!
The supervisor told my sister that a gift certificate by email should be sent to our email address by Saturday Dec. 22 at noon, so we checked our email and sure enough NO GIFT CERTIFICATE. Well I called back and they say it will be there Sunday Dec. 23. I bet we never see one and we are out $100.
