Ordered a $210 adjustable air mattress online on 09/14/08. The shipment arrived at 09/19/08. The bed was set up that same day; even though it was never slept on, it showed signs of a malfunctioning remote the very next day. The bed itself was leaning heavily to one side and it lost half the air overnight. The electric motor would kick in and out of service and I had to leave it unplugged for hours before it would reset.
Contacted the dealer and they referred me to the manufacturer. Agreed to have it replaced, but so much time was wasted, that by the time I would receive it, my guests would be gone.
The Camping Station sales rep suggested to have me purchase an air mattress locally and he agreed to send me a refund. After I complied with their requests in order to finalize the matter, I didn't hear from any of the parties involved.
Calls to their 800 number were systematically not answered. Long distance phone calls to their regular numbers became very expensive due to being put on hold, time and time again.
THREE months and a series of emails, phone calls and a lot of aggravation later, I received a refund MINUS the shipping charges ! ! ! I got on the phone again and after repeatedly pleading my case that I am ending up on the receiving end of a lot of the expenses involved in finding a solution, they finally offered me to pay HALF the shipping cost . . .
By the time this whole thing is over, it will have cost me about a hundred dollars in expenses and about four days of my time on the phone/computer, and I will have NOTHING to show for it.
Customer service is NOT what I got, so my advice to you ?
Do yourself a favor and stay away from places like this.
