My mother enjoys a cat calendar that is difficult to find in local stores. When I cant locate the calendar, I shop at
Calendars.com.
The Website
This website features 6,500 calendars. Since I needed a hard-to-find calendar ... this was the place for me!
At the Top
There are tabs across the top of the screen. The top row reads: Home, Top 100, Pets, Gift Ideas, Models, Humor, Office, Celebs. The bottom row reads: Search, Kids, Free Screen Saver, Collectibles, Bargains, Contact Us. The top of the page also announces: Free Gift Wrap with Purchase of $20 or More.
To the Left
A search box is at the top of the left column. Search by keyword or select List All Titles to view every product. The products are listed in alphabetical order, but you can view any letter of the alphabet without scrolling through the entire product list.
You can also browse by calendar type: wall calendar, boxed/desk calendar, engagement calendar.
Beneath this is a list of all categories (ex: Cat, Dog, Firefighting, Ethnic Heritage, Lighthouses, Movie). Beneath the categories is another list to browse by subject (ex: Disney, Football, Harley Davidson, National Parks).
The Middle
Vertically down the center of the page are images and descriptions of new calendars.
To the Right
The right side of the website features top sellers in different categories. Currently the website is featuring the Top 10 calendars. There are also lists for the Top 5 calendars in various categories.
Beneath these listings is a Special Services section. Explore information relating to volume discounts and the Calendars.com gift wrapping service ($3.49 per item; add a personal message during checkout).
Shopping the Website
I wanted the Gary Patterson cat calendar. Under the Browse Subject area, I selected Cats. This opened a new page featuring different cat categories. I clicked the Funny Cat Calendar link. Another page opened with links at the top of the page. I chose Cat Cartoon Calendars. Bingo! I found the Gary Patterson cat calendar I wanted.
Out of curiosity, I typed in the Search box: gary patterson cat. This also opened a page filled with Gary Pattersons cat calendars.
Clicking on the calendar image opened a new page featuring a larger photo of the calendar. The information stated the size of the calendar both opened and closed. It also said the calendar was in stock and listed the price. There is an option to view not only the calendar front but also the back.
I clicked the Add To Cart button. The shopping cart page says that this calendar usually ships within one day. On this page I can edit the quantity or remove the item if I choose. All I wanted was the calendar, so I proceeded to checkout.
Check Out
Existing customers can enter their password. New customers need to provide their email address, shipping and billing information.
Next choose the shipping method:
Standard (5-10 business days) $3.99
Priority (3-4 business days) $8.98
Express (2-3 business days) $14.98
At this point you can choose a password to expedite future orders. You can also enter a coupon code if you have one. Calendars.com accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express credit cards.
Note there is also a FAQ page that discusses the duties and taxes charged to orders shipped to Canada.
I have had no problems receiving packages from Calendars.com. The merchandise arrives in good condition and in a timely fashion.
Summary
Im glad that
Calendars.com is there to order hard-to-find items. Would I buy all my calendars from them? No. My local stores often sell calendars at good sale prices. But Calendars.com is a great resource for ordering what is not available in my area.
I hope you have found this review useful.
Enjoy your day,
Dawn
