Amazon.com is an excellent site for shopping for a wide variety of items, and not just books.  They have books, movies, music, software, toys, and a wide variety of other items, even food and herbs.

I buy most of my books, movies and software from Amazon.com.  I also have purchased toys and food items.  I bought crackers, herbs and other stuff that you wouldn't even think you could find on Amazon.

When buying from Amazon, you purchase the items either from them directly, from their seller partners, or from their marketplace sellers.  I have had an exceptionally good experience with almost every aspect of shopping there.  This includes buying from marketplace sellers which are actually just people or small businesses selling on there.

I only had one bad experience on Amazon that I can remember, having never received the book after about three weeks.  I emailed the seller, and then the book was sent out and I received it about a week after that, for about one month altogether.

They also offer the A-Z shopping guarantee, which promises a refund if you do not receive the item you ordered or if it was not as described.

Overall, Amazon is a great place to shop with very little hazzle and I highly recommend it.  You may run into a problem every once in a while like any other store, but these will be rare if at all.
