Customer service reps were very helpful. But I had to call several times. It didn't seem like there was any follow up when it came to "missing" information. Ordering was fairly easy, except for getting the required proof to the merchant. This was a first time purchase from the merchant. I'm hoping future purchases are easier.

Not only was AcademicSuperstore.com $48 dollars cheaper on the same product as JourneyEd.com (199.00 vis 247.00) they were able to verify I was a college student right away with my SSN, Name, and DOB at no charge to me. JourneyEd still hadn't processed this verification a day later! AcademicSuperstore.com offered free S/H vise $17.50 from JourneyEd.com. Also, AcademicSuperstore.com shipped my order out the same day I placed it!!! I got a UPS tracking number that told me the day I would receive it (Order placed on Fri and received 4 days later on Tues) That is what I call an outstanding shopping experience. Looking fwd to doing more business with them....

Products were easy to find and had enough information to evaluate for the intended use. Qualification was relatively easy and was confirmed promptly and product was shipped and received promptly. To date, I've made two major software purchases using academic pricing at Academic Superstore. I checked for prices elsewhere; Academic Superstore proved the lowest. Its website is easy to use with adequate product descriptions and quick checkout. The process for establishing academic pricing eligibility could be improved though; I'd rather it be done in real-time than to have to follow up with fax or attached document files. Finally, I can count on receiving my order within a week or so.

Our shopping experience at Academic Superstore was very quick and easy. We had one question when we purchased the product, and had to contact Academic Superstore by phone. Absolutely terrible store. They make you jump through hoops in order to complete your order. They would not accept my school ID because they did not like the format of the date on my id.
In addition, customer support was anemic at best. Emails were not responded to in a reasonable amount of time and when responses were given they were generic form responses lacking any substance. So you would not be able to ascertain what the rational for their objection to your orders were. Thus, requiring you to waste your time by calling them. That is if you even receive a response from them in the first place.
Unless you are a well TRAINED and GOOD customer willing to do as you are told in order to have the privilege of parting with your money, BUYER BEWARE!!!!

The representative, Brandon Tull, was EXCELLENT. Not only did he promptly handle the order, but he also suggested other software programs that might be beneficial and/or interesting. Furthermore, he immediately e-mailed his contact information to me in case I needed to talk to him about the order or if I wanted to buy other software. This kind of service makes ALL the difference. The only not-optimal thing, as mentioned above, was that the product box was a bit banged up.

I had to purchase Adobe Photoshop and Illustration not only for school but also for my part-time business. After searching around for an Educational copy(It's exactly the same but is offered at a way lower price for students, teachers,etc).

I wasn't content with the price offered on Adobe's Educational store so I kept searching until I found this icredible offer for Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 Premium. It costs $283.95 with a $30 mail-in rebate!! On top of that, I get free shipping! That is a super super great deal.

The eligibility process took close to a week and you can either scan and e-mail it over which I highly suggest as it is the fastest, or you can mail it over. But once the item is shipped, you'll get it within days. Shipping includes tracking.

I e-mailed Customr Service a few times regarding the approoval process and everything and they were quick and friendly.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase!

I ordered a Crumpler laptop bag on their website the third week of July. It is currently the last week of August and it is still on back order and hasn't been shipped.

This particular Crumpler bag was out of stock on the actual CrumplerBags.com website, so I figured that when the website was in stock, Academic Superstore would ship me my bag soon after.

That did not happen. This particular bag was shown to be in stock about two weeks ago, but my order is STILL on back order.

I stayed in contact with them via e-mail throughout this ordeal, and half of the time I would only get generic e-mail responses from them.

I have since cancelled my order and hope my family is not charged for this order that was never sent. Is their intent to get people to order things, never ship them, and hope you forget? Perhaps. All I know is that I ordered a laptop bag through them five weeks ago and still haven't received it. I will never shop from their website again.

Ordered Finale 2006. Was on backorder for a few days but it was only 6 days from the time I placed the order to the time I received my order. Fell bad for the rest of you that had a negative experience. Perhaps I just had an isolated positive experience with the company but maybe Academic SuperStore has really gotten their act together recently. I would definitely order from them again.

Ordered product. Product didn't show. E-Mailed with no response. Called after 3 weeks of ordering. Gave me a ship date of 4 weeks after ordering. 8 weeks after ordering I got an e-mail telling me that product is not anymore available. Won't order there again.

I've written many reviews for Epinions over the past few years.

I ordered Canopus ProCoder through Academic Superstore on a Saturday. They emailed me back on Sunday acknowledging confirmation of my eligibility for academic pricing, that I had faxed to them the same day of my order.

I received the software package via UPS on Thursday in the San Diego area, therefore, they must have shipped on Monday.

No complaints, whatsoever. I will shop with them again if they have something I need at a competitive price.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible - the academic discount is not worth the trouble they will give you. Their customer service department is good about getting back with you though, and telling you how they screwed up or they blame their computer system.
