I placed an order on Aug 28, 2008 for a Gamin Nuvi 260W (Item# 14203). The price was Not cheap, but I got a rebate from MS Live Cashback to make it a good deal. That's why I gave this vendor a try.

2 days after ordering, my online account status says ‘Shipped’. However, when I called the customer service line on 3 different times, I got 3 different answers to my question: “what is the status of my order?”

* At the first phone call 1 week after the order was placed, I was told, “The item is drop-shipped from the manufacturer but we don’t have a tracking number. Call back next week and we should be able to give you the shipping information.”
* I called back a week later, and I was told, “Our fulfillment center was moved recently and we are still trying to track down everything. Your order status shows “Exported” on the computer, but there is no shipment information. You should be getting the item in 3 weeks. We’ll find out what’s happening with your order and call or email you in 3 days”.
* I got no call or email 3 days later, so I called again. This time, I was told, “The item is backordered. We have to wait for it to be shipped to our warehouse, and after that, you’ll get it in 3 weeks. We’ll call you back in 3 days…..”


So, it's been 2 weeks and I still don’t know whether I’ll ever get the item I ordered. Even if I get it, it won't be for another 3 weeks. This (2 months) has got to be the longest I've waited for something to arrive from an online merchant.
