I ordered the wrong printer. A Matter of Fax said that I should Refuse it when it came (which I did) and that once the received it back they would give me full credit for the returned item.
UPS Tracking showed that the item was returned to AMOF on the 6th of October. The last time I check my credit card (yesterday - the 9th) the credit for my return had not shown up yet.
I have been waiting for the Canon i9100 to be In Stock at which time I will order that printer.

I have never had a bad experience. My orders have always been on time and complete just as I ordered. This time there was some a problem with product listing being inconsistant, Bob Boone wrote me an e-mail asking me to contact him and the problem was explained and resolved in a very friendly manner and easily. I will be shopping at A Matter of Fax in the future.

Said they had item in stock. Did not. Charged my credit card before they even had item. Never contacted me to explain delays. Had to call them repeatedly to find out true situation. Acted like they were doing me a big favor by even talking to me. Said they were waiting for it to arrive from another vendor. Finally said they had "over sold". Had to cancel order to recieve refund. Do not believe web site - smoke and mirrors. I was to trusting.

There was some confusion trying to get the credit card
transaction approved (differing billing/shipping address,
combined with a blocked CallerID preventing their automatic verification system from working the first time), but it
was sorted out in a few hours.

After two days of repeated webpage attempts and email correspondence, I could never get past the credit card verification procedure, even though I verified everything with my credit card company. I finally gave up, cancelled the order and purchased the product locally. Cancellation request was honored and confirmed immediately via email.

I contacted the merchant before I placed the order. I was told the product was in stock and that the printer would ship within 48 hours after my order was placed. I placed my order on Sept. 17. My credit card was charged immediately and I was overcharged by $50.00, but a full week later, the printer still had not shipped. I telephoned twice and was told the printer would ship the next day; it never shipped. I canceled the order ten days laterand requested a chargeback to my credit card. I still have not recieved the full credit. This company should not be allowed to do businees on the internet; they give the legitimate services a 'black eye'.

When my item went on back order, no customer service telephone number was made available for me to call to get additional information. I decided to wait it out although I nearly canceled the order because of the lack of information between learning of the backorder status and no knowing when the order would be filled. I finally had to contact UPS myself to correct the error. VERY unsatisfactory service. When the equipment finally came, the batteries were dead. Why am I not surprised?

Was quick and precise. The only problem I had was trying to go back to their website and track my order through the order to ship. After that I was able to track it through the UPS site. It was delivered on the day promised. I was told it would take 7-10 working days to get my order but it only took about 5 days. I am pleased with the time it took from the time I ordered it to the time I got it.

I may use this vendor in the future, but their method of verifying credit card information seems a bit unsecure. They suggested that you e-mail your credit card information to complete a verification process that seemed a bit intrusive.
In addition, the method to track your order redirects you to another site, which could be another vulnerability in security.
Otherwise, delivery and promptness were great.

My experience with this vendor was less than satisfying. For the project that required the above items four other vendors were able to supply their items on a timely basis, using the same credit card with shipments to the same address, that is, our company's, but repeated delays were met with these folks. Though an error on my part in listing our company's address rather that the company's president's home address (we use her card as a company card) as the principle address may have helped to delay the initial order processing, that should have been dealt with via the requested call from her resident phone (with which her card is registered) which was placed the same evening as the order. The almost two week delay in the order's fulfillment was unacceptable, and the refusal of the vendor to make accomodations for faster shipping at their expense, which other vendor's have done for us if the fault was due to their self-imposed problems in processing the shipment, has instilled in me a reluctance to place further orders in the future. I must admit that their cost of goods was more than acceptable, I just take exception to their processing of this order.

I was impressed with the service at first but when I received the printer and it was defective, I contacted the company and the person I spoke with was not very helpful or friendly. I was not happy that I had to pay $26 in shipping to return a defective printer, and I still have not received my refund.

A Matter of Fax offered a huge selection at the lowest prices I could find on the net or in stores. The multi-piece order arrived very quickly (in stages) and in perfect condition. The only complaint is that there is no "tax-exempt" option during checkout and I had to wait until customer service opened to complete the transaction, which was completed without any further problems. I would shop here again.

I tried to contact them to see what differences there might be between the two models, but was unable to contact customer service. No phone number was available. I could have send an e-mail, but I think a phone number is a basic level of customer service.

Recd. one e-mail asking me to call regarding my order. Rep told me that the toner we ordered was on backorder from Brother. Would probably arrive in pieces. We ordered three, we were charged IN FULL, IMMEDIATELY for all three. So far, weeks later, we have only recieved one cartridge. We should be charged ONLY AS ITEMS SHIP.
