I am just going to tell it like it is: This is my first business transaction with this company. I purchased an LG 6,000 BTU, 10.7 EER Window Air Conditioner for an attic installation of 5000 sq ft, 96 year old house undergoing ($100,000 ) major renovations. Shipping speed was acceptable; They warn customers in an email to inspect the item when it arrives, and in the case of this type of appliance, if I find any issues regarding damage after the FedEx person leaves, it's MY PROBLEM. Can you imagine making a FedEx person wait 'till you open everything and inspect it? These people are running like mad - they don't even take a bathroom brake much less take the luxury of standing around while an inspection takes place - they would probably be fired. YES, the a/c was significantly damaged; the top of the plastic case by the right lifting handle suffered a 5 to 6 inch crack AND the plastic base inside which the compressor sits (at the rear bottom right) is practically shattered. The unit has appeared to have suffered a direct drop trauma while outside its shipping box; I say this because the shipping box indicated NO evidence of damage, otherwise I would have opened the box while the FedEx person was still their (IF they would agree to stay). This is SUPPOSITION on my part, but could it be LG sells seconds or "slightly" damaged goods at significant discounts to certain resellers? Just a question mind you. How in the heck does a severely damaged air conditioner arrive in a perfect condition box? You tell me.
